Erica Faure, aged 41, is a successful author of crime fiction. Upon returning to her hometown to clear out her deceased parents’ house, she makes the gruesome discovery of the corpse of her childhood best friend, Alexandra, whose veins have been slashed. Erica is convinced that this was not a suicide and thus initiates an investigation in which the past and the present are closely intertwined. However, it is her encounter with Captain Patrick Saab that will turn her life upside down.
