Vincent Daron, a lawyer of considerable brilliance and whimsy at the court of Bordeaux, is the head of a renowned family firm that he established with his brother Jean-Michel. However, upon the death of his brother, Daron is astonished to learn that Jean-Michel has bequeathed his entire shareholding to Pauline Lefranc, a young lawyer who had recently caused trouble for him during a trial and who has no family ties to Jean-Michel by blood. This turn of events is made all the more surprising by the fact that his own children, the twins Esther and Grégory, were under the impression that they would inherit their uncle’s estate and become associates. Daron is obliged to mobilize the entire team to provide assistance to a client of his, an individual with a penchant for self-aggrandizing narratives who has been accused of murder.
